Low Carbon Accelerator is a closed-ended investment company listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange (AIM).
Our mission is to provide the capital to accelerate the growth of businesses with products and services that will deliver immediate reductions in carbon dioxide emissions.
Since launch in October 2006, Low Carbon Accelerator raised gross proceeds of £55 million.
Low Carbon Accelerator's investment focus is on clean energy, cleaner fuels, energy efficiency and building technologies. We focus predominantly on businesses in the UK, Europe and North America.
The fund is managed by Low Carbon Investors Ltd (LCI), an experienced management and advisory team with strong sector knowledge, track records of delivering growth and extensive networks of contacts in relevant technology and business sectors. LCI is a specialist private equity manager with investment professionals based in its offices in London and Singapore giving a global view of market trends, technology developments and project opportunities. We focus on the major market inefficiency in the low carbon market, which is the transition of innovation into infrastructure, where we believe superior returns can be delivered. LCI manage and advise a series of funds based on this investment thesis designed for the needs of both institutional and retail investors. Our funds have a clear investment strategies based on the following features:
